Works well. Doesn’t work as well for plants that require more light in an aquarium, but it’s pretty good. Kind of changes the plants visually from the blue-purple hue, but it’s mostly filtered out by the water. Well built and seems to be lasting.

This is a great aquarium light for freshwater and planted tanks. It is a full spectrum light with the ability to control each color individually or use the preset settings. The timer function is very handy and the light is easy to set on top of your tank without needing to hang it at all. I find it can be plenty bright for planted tank needs and makes the colors pop on the fish as well. I would buy this one again for sure if I get more then one tank.I wouldn't use it for saltwater corals as I don't think it has the right spectrums for that.

This is the first aquarium light I've used with only Red/Blue/White LED options. That said, I'm quite impressed that my plants have done well with this light. I've tried other well-known light brands in this price range and have noticed that my plants in tanks with those other brand lights have stalled in their growth despite fertilizer tabs and liquid fertilizers.For only having three light color options, you do really get quite a variety of customization with each color spectrum. The LEDS on this light can be pretty bright. Fitwise, I ordered the smallest available option for my 2.5-gallon tank, and it's a perfect fit. My light unit does not seem to emit any noticeable heat, which is good.My only negative con about this light is the timer - for some reason, there are times where I set it and it'll start as set the next day, and then the following day I notice that it never turned off, so I'll need to reset the timer again.I'm hoping I can get that straightened out.

This light does a great job at illuminating my tank and providing the light necessary for my plants to grow strong and healthy! I love the timer option as I can set up my desired time interval and color configuration, and then pressing the power button will automatically turn it on at that setting. The light is fairly lightweight, but it's made of a sturdy and sleek looking plastic shell.My only small complaint is with the extending leg functionality. It works, and will hold up your light fine, and realistically won't slip unless you shift it around; but, I wish it felt a bit more secure. Perhaps a stiffer ratcheting system, or something as simple as clamps at the end, would have been a nice touch in my opinion.It also lacks full smart functionality, so you can't preset it to turn on at certain times of day or anything like that. If you wanted a fully automated setup, such that you can carefully control the exact amount of light and have it run evenwhen you aren't home (e.g. vacation), then this isn't for you.All in all however, considering the price of this, I'd recommend this light if you're looking for a high-quality light to boost your plant growth, at a fraction of the cost of big-brand light setups.
