For the price I payed it's a great light (I refer to the updated SR-659 version which I received). Puzzeling is the handling of the controller! I was fiddeling with access to various settings, particularly colour, quite a few days until I found and accepted satisfying values versus brightness. The controller needs overhaul and the max output of the white LEDs has to be raised as to meet 'cuba' and other light demanding foreground plants without overly forcing blue and red output. However, with time you'll find the right settings for your plants and your appreciation.

The package took nearly a month to arrive (not 8-15 days as stated on the website), though I didn’t mind much because it wasn’t urgent. Furthermore, the light came with the transparent plastic screen badly placed, however, it was an easy fix.

The thermometer incorporated with the light is a bonus and seems fairly accurate. Moreover, the control panel is intuitive and simple, it’s easy to get used to and allows for a lot of customization. Nevertheless, I think the preset “moonlight” color provided should be more of a faint blueish white, not just pure blue. I spent quite a bit of time fidgeting with color mixing to get it right. The same could be said for sunrise and sunset preset colors.

Delighted with this aquarium light! My fish colors are on full display. All the light options are included, and I can put light color, brightness and on/off on a timer. Just use the 24 hour clock, not the 12 hour one, and you're good to go.

I have 3 of these lights and I love them. They turn on at 7 am and turn off at 7 pm. They are great for my plants also.
